Tier 2 - Registration

Tier 2 is a lower skill level division within D9 Ice Hockey League. This division is an adult, co-ed, recreational, competitive ice hockey league that is designed for beginner and intermediate players and those who are too old, slow, and injured to compete at the lowest division levels of most adult hockey leagues around NYC. Those brand new to hockey or who have been attending learn to play clinics and are ready to join a team and play games, D9 Tier 2 is the league for you.

If you are able to skate with the players in any of the adult house leagues around NYC and score regularly or at will, this league is NOT for you.

This is an adult, co-rec league for players 18 years and older.

The D9 Tier 2 Spring 2025 season will be played at Abe Stark Sports Center (1902 W 19th St., Brooklyn, NY 11214), beginning the week of August 25th, 2025 through December 18th, 2025. Games will be played on Tuesdays 9:45PM, Wednesdays 9:45PM, and Thursdays 9:45PM and 11:00PM.

Top 6 teams make the playoffs

Seeds #3 through #6 play in a one game play in round. Seeds #1 and #2 get a first round bye

Remaining teams play a best of 3 semifinal round. Remaining two teams play a best of 3 championship round

All eliminated teams play consolation games

Early bird registration is $465 per player until August 10th, 2025. After August 10th, the cost is $490 per player.

SKATER SUBS

If you would like to be added to the approved sub list, select the Skaters Sub List from the choices at the bottom of this page. Teams utilize the sub list to fill in their rosters for games they are going to be short handed. The team captains manage their own subs, the league commissioner does not. Note: The sub fee is $40 per game played, paid prior to the start of the game.
